CEO releases election code of conduct

For the first time photos of candidates would be made available on the electronic voting machine for the election polling for the Manipur state assembly election that would be conducted on March 4 and March 8.
Addressing the reporters at old secretariat hall in Imphal, the state chief electoral officer, Vivek Kumar Dewangan said Voter Verifiable Paper Audit Trail will be used at 15 Assembly Constituency besides live video streaming. Election expenditure for hiring purpose should be made through direct transfer without loss of time, added the CEO.
The polling stations where there is weak or no availability of network video recording would replace the live streaming. Airlifting of EVMs will be arranged in needed remote areas.
Among other code of conducts the CEO orders to stop any recruitment process in the state.
