Chief Secretary urges publishers to afford suitable wage

News publishers in the state should regard the efforts of media persons and afford suitable wages to them, said chief secretary Oinam Nabakishore Singh on the 42nd Foundation of the Manipur Press Club which was held today. Nabakishore Singh said because of the effort of the journalist the publisher are able to run their business successfully and the advertisements come along with the reports of the journalists. Court declares ex-minister’s son convict

The Court of Session Judge Imphal West today convicted Nongthombam Ajay, son of ex- minister of IFCD, CAF&PD and YAS, and currently BJP spokesperson N Biren Singh for culpable homicide not amounting to murder in connection with a firing incident resulting to the death of Irom Rojer of Wangkhei Angom Leikai, Imphal on March 20, 2011.
