BLAST INJURES TWO CRPF JAWANS

Two CRPF Jawans were injured in an IED blast this evening at Lamphel near Imphal West DC office complex and among them one was critical.

The injured persons were rushed to the Shija Hospital and Research Institute . They were identified as Visender Jat (24) and Brajesh Singh (29). They belong to 143 BN CRPF Lamphel Pat and bore the ID numbers 460261 and 460260 respectively. Doctors say Brajesh Singh was critical with his injury at the head. Visender was injured at his left hand.

The blast took place at around 6:30 pm to the west of the DC office complex. The explosive was planted at a culvert. The two jawans in uniform were returning to their quarter at Lamphel from their duty on two bicycles when the IED exploded.

As soon as the blast took place security forces led by high ranked police officers rushed at the spot to take stalk of the situation.
So far no one has claimed responsible of the blast till the filing of this report.
