Youth Welfare Club, Langthabal scored over Tiddim Road Athletic Union by 20 runs in the 3rd MCA W.Prahlada & W.Ramananda Elite Tournament 2016-17 played at Luwangpokpa Cricket Stadium.
In the champion elimination round, Youth Welfare Club winning the toss decided to bat first with Anand Singh steadied theirs innings with masterly 51 run knock to put up 177 run for 7 wicket from 40 overs. Supporting Anand from the other end were Prakashmani Singh with 37 runs and Prasantamani Singh with 32 runs.
Tiddim Road bowler Jitish Singh ad Raju Singh scalped 2 wickets each while Bobin Singh, Saroj Singh and Thomas Singh bagged 1 wicket each.
Tiddim Road batsman Priyojit Singh led the charge hitting 59 runs from 90 balls while Rinju helped him from the other end with 33 runs but theirs effort goes in vain as they were restricted to 156 runs for 10 wicket from 39.3 overs. Sahadat got 24 run.
Among Youth Welfare Club bowler, Kishan was the most successful bowler claiming 3 wickets while Bingson, Prakashmani Singh bagged 2 wicket each and Biswash, Subachandra Singh pick up 1 wicket each. Youth Welfare Club batsman Anand Singh was adjudged the man of the match for his 51 runs knock.
