BJP intenders battle for ticket

Following reports of list of BJP intending candidates for the ensuing assembly election which also went viral in social media, supporters of intending candidates who expect to get the party ticket and not in the list continue to agitate at the BJP office gate here.
Supporters of BJP intending candidates today thronged at the gate of the BJP state unit office in Imphal condemned the ticket committee for not including in the list of the candidates as reported in the media. The supporters were of Maibam Dhnabir of Hiyanglam constituency, L. Suresh of 31 Thoubal constituency and L. Kadamjit of Wangkhem assembly constituency.
They blamed the committee for being against those BJP intending candidates who have been contributing in building the strength of the BJP in Manipur. “We will not take it lightly, corruption on ticket will not help BJP successful in the election” said one of the supporters.
No untoward incident was occurred as police intervened the angry mob.
Talking to the reporters at BJP state unit’s office Thongam Bishwajit said there has been no announcement of list of BJP candidates. Meetings for ticket has just begun and there has been no any finalisation of BJP candidates, added the BJP legislature.
