Saddam unbeaten 59 runs knock helped Force Khetrigao prevails upon Eastern Sporting Union by 7 wickets in the 3rd MCA Plate Tournament 2016-17 played at Luwangpokpa Cricket Stadium.

With the win, Force Khetrigao have qualified for the champion title clash with SCCC Singjamei on February 1.

Eastern Sporting Union winning the toss, decided to bat first where they could muster to put up 117 runs for 8 wickets from 35 overs.  Mihul Singh top scored with 25 runs while Manikanta Singh fetched 19 runs, Sanjay Singh got 17 runs and Chitranjan Singh made 12 runs. Force bowler Prabas claimed 3 wickets while Khurshid got 2 wickets, Pravez and Giyasuddin fetched 1 wicket each.

Replying to Eastern Sporting Union innings, Force Khetrigao reached the target easily with Saddam on charge hitting an unbeaten 59 runs to reach the target in 20.2 over losing 3 wickets in the process. Jalli got 33 runs and Nawaz chip in with 10 wickets. Among the Eastern bowler, Rajiv Singh bagged 2 wickets while Shankar took 1 wicket.

Cyclone Thangmeiband will take on Youth Welfare Club, Langthabal in the 3rd MCA Elite Tournament tomorrow.
