BJP will not announce its Chief Ministerial Candidate

BJP will not announce the chief minstrel candidate for the ensuing 11th Manipur Legislative Election state assembly election while the remaining list of 29 candidates may announce tomorrow.
Nongthombam Biren Singh said he was not the authority to say on the announcement of the Chief minstrel candidate for BJP, but according to the information from the centre it will not be announced this time.
Biren has blamed the congress government in the past and present responsible for the present chaos in the state. Saying BJP has never formed a government in Manipur the BJP leader appealed the people to give a chance to BJP form a government in state to bring a permanent peaceful solution for which the party is committed.
He was a addressing the reporters in a press conference held today at Imphal’s BJP office.
Making clear of the recent assertion by BJP national general secretary Ram Madhav, Assam finance minister Himanta Biswa Sarma to let Ibobi resign for two days so that BJP could end the blockade, Biren Singh said the statement meant that there is no governance in the state and there will be no blockade if BJP rules in the state.
Biren Singh said former chief minister Rishang Keishing was the first state leader who agreed that Naga integration was not unconstitutional, not anti-party and not anti state in 1972, in a memorandum submitted to the then Prime Minister.
He said, in 1992 too, Rishang keishing who was the deputy chief minister of the time and the then chief secretary H.V. Goswami signed an agreement with the Nagaland Student Federation that Sadar Hill district should not be created without the consent of the student federation.
In 2005 the present chief minister who is also in charge of home minister signed the agreement with the NSCN IM supporting its demand of Naga.
“The present social chaos and the present economic blockade is the outcome of the Congress regime which has been ruling for long in the state” said Bren Singh.
He said people of the state have not been delivered social justice so far. BJP will definitely deliver justice to the people and free them from corruption when it comes to power. H appealed the people to give BJP a chance to govern the state.
He said, “There are a lot of scandals. BJP will not leave stones unturned.”
The 13th finance commission sanctioned 100 crores for upgrading the Khuman Lampak Sports Complex. 75 crores of the sum was released and utilised. “But we don’t see any change. BJP will not spare it” said Biren Singh.
