Meiraba Polo Club, Thangmeiband beat Ibudhou Marjing Khubam Kanba Lup, Heingang by 9-4 goals in the 32nd N.Hazari & Dr.N.Tombi State Polo Tournament 2017 played at Mapal Kangjeibung.

Both team tested each other in the first chukker to render the first half goaless. However Meiraba team sprang the suprise in the second chukker with A.Ranjan getting the first goal in the 6.28 minute and M.Devnath consolidates in the 6.43 minute to post 2-0 goals lead. In the second chukker, Meiraba team continues theirs good work when M.Devnath scored their third goal in the 1.12 minute and later Th.Premkumar came up with his team fourth goal in the 3.56 goals.

Ibudhou Marjing pace up with S.Jayenta Singh quickfiring two goals in 3.37 and 5.48 minute to trial by 2-4 goals. But the joy shortlived for Ibudhou Marjing with M.Devnath pick up Meiraba Polo Club fifth goal in the 6.21 minute to post 5-2 goals in second chukker itself. Making more advances in the third chukker, L.Mocha consolidates for Meiraba team scoring two goals in the 1.50 and 6.47 minute to bolsters their scoreline to 7-2 goals.

The fourth chukker saw Ibudhou Marjing team making a late surge with Kh.Priyokumar in the 2.14 and S.Jayenta in the 4.51 minute to closer the goal gap by 4-7 goals. But to their own dismay, Kh.Priyokumar concedded an own goal to push Meiraba Polo scoreline to 8-4 goals. Meiraba team drive down the last nail with Th.Nanao hitting home the winning goal for the victory.

In other matches, Imphal Riding Club drubbed KMM Riding Club(C) by 17-1 goals while Eastern Students Club thrashed Thangmeiband Youth Polo Club(B) by 7-0 goals.
