Former Congress secretary joins BJP

Jyotin Waikhom, former secretary of Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee who had contested in the last three consecutive assembly elections today resigned from the Congress and joined the BJP.
Jyotin was received in grandeur with his supporters at the BJP office in Imphal.
He said he had been discriminated despite of the sacrifice for the Congress and he had been sidelined as he was ruined.
Th. Chaoba, convenor the BJP Ticket Committee said there will a change and appointments of various posts in the government department will not bring any change in the state.
Jyotin had contested three times in the Thangmeiband Assembly Constitution. He was the rival of Khumukcham Joykishan who has been representing the people of the constituency in the assembly.
Joykishan had recently left BJP for not responding against the present economic blockade and joined Congress. Very soon he was appointed as the spokesperson of the MPCC.
