The Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee has filed a complaint to the chief election officer against Ram Madhav, national general secretary, BJP for criticising individual politicians in his public speech. Khumucham Joykishan, spokesperson of Manipur PCC talking to the reporters at its office in Imphal said the BJP leader Ram Madhav had criticise individual politicians by mentioning their names in his speeches which is against the election code of conduct. Joykishan alleged Ram Madhav for using names intentionally during his speeches.

Police apprehended an NSCN-K Cadre who was a resident of Heirangoithong Chingtham Leikai in a counter insurgency operation. Last night. Imphal West police commando led by inspector Thaingampou apprehended the NSCN-K cadre at around 8: 30 pm in an operation conducted under the supervision of additional superintendant of police (operations), Dr. S. Ibomcha Singh.
