An unbeaten 72 runs partnership between Somorendro Singh and Bhogen Singh helped Napsa Kha Imphal beat Kuki Sporting Club by 7 wickets in the 5th Twenty-20 Veteran Cricket Tournament 2016-17 played at Oriental College and Model Higher Secondary School ground.

Kuki Sporting Club decided to bat first after winning the toss where Gogou scored an unbeaten 17 runs and Lalboi with 9 runs to put up 102 runs for 7 wickets from 20 overs. Lenpu contributed 17 runs and Nganminlen fetching 10 runs. Napsa bowler Ratan claimed 2 wickets while Gautam, Himat and Bhogen chip in with 1 wicket each.

Chasing the target, Napsa reached the target easily with Somorendro Singh and Bhogen Singh at the helms hitting an unbeaten 42 runs and 30 runs respectively. Keshorjit contributed 19 runs to surpass the target in 16.5 over for 3 wickets. Kuki bowler Gouminlun and Martin bagged 1 wicket each. Napsa batsman Somorendro Singh was adjudged the man of the match for his 42 runs knock.
