Congress and BJP clash injures 9

At least nine people including six women were injured in a clash between the supporters of congress candidate Okram Kennedy who is the son of CM Ibobi Singh and the supporters of BJP candidate Th. Jadumani at Kahngabok constituency, today.
The incident took place this morning at Khangabok Cherapur which is under the jurisdiction of Thoubal Police station. There were no serious injuries.
Police rushed at the spot where the tussle was taking place. The police fired teargas shells to control the situation which effectively brought to peaceful ending.
