BJP hopes high to win at Sekmai

People in thousands thronged with offerings of blessings at the flag hoisting ceremony of Heikham Dingo Meitei contesting at Sekmai assembly constituency which is reserved for the scheduled caste.

The young candidate who was defeated at narrow margin last year election this time hopes high to win and smiles with the dream to get an opportunity to serve the people of his constituency as well as the people of the state.

Talking to the media Dingo said, “Last time I contested on Trinamul Congress ticket and lost to the Congress opponent by just 655 votes, but this time I am confident to win as people see a change with the BJP wave.”

Veteran leader and former minister Okram Joy said development of India cannot be completed without the development of Manipur and its neighbouring north east state. That was the reason why Prime Minister Narendra Modi had chose Manipur to establish a sports University in Manipur.

Former Minister N. Biren said for the BJP to form the government it requires to win just 16 to 18 seats out of 39 seats in the valley as BJP will win not less than sixteen out of 21 seats in the hill constituencies.
