A hundred and eighteen runs partnership between Mintuchandra Singh and Jayenta Singh helped Royal Eleven Youngsters beat Uripok Cricket Club by 65 runs in the 1st MCA-T-20 Luwangpokpa Trophy 2017 played at Luwangpokpa Cricket Stadium.

The group D league match saw, Royal Eleven Youngsters took to the crease after winning the toss where Mintuchandra Singh hammered 61 runs while Jayenta Singh remain unbeaten with 57 runs to post 149 runs for 3 wickets from 20 over. Rahul Singh fetch 12 runs.

Among Uripok bowler, Satish bagged 2 wicket while Abungo chip in with a wicket. In reply, Uripok batsman crumbled like a pack of card with Sanjit Singh claiming 5 wicket while Guniram got a hattrick, to restrict Uripok Cricket Club to 84 runs for 10 wicket from 17 overs.

Uripok batsman Roshan struck 22 runs while Denin fetch 13 runs. Royal Eleven Youngsters bowler Sanjit took the man of the match for his 5 wicket haul.

In another match, Blue Hawk beat Khetri Iril Mapal Youth Club by 63 runs. Blue Hawk started off in a strong note with Samson making 34 runs while Lokeshwor got 25 runs to post 143 runs for 7 wicket from 20 overs. Khetri Iril bowler, Abdul Hamid, Lenin picked up two wicket each while Abdullah and Suresh fetch a wicket each.

Khetri Iril team fell short by 63 runs as they could not manage to fetch 80 runs for 9 wicket from 20 over. Momo topscored with 18 runs and Suresh with 11 runs, who remain not out. Bluw Hawk bowlers Samson, Battery claimed a hattrick each while Jitendra got 2 wicket and Sanatomba fetch 1 wicket.

Veteran Cricket

Napsa Kha Imphal posted 8 wicket victory against Cachar Road Athletic Union in the 14th Manipur Veteran Cricket Tournament 2016-17 played at Oriental College and Model Higher Secondary School ground, Imphal West.

Cachar Road after winning the toss decided to bat first to post 134 runs for 10 wicket from 29.2 over with Gopeshor topscoring with 32 runs. Among Napsa bowler Surjit claimed a hattrick while Himat took 2 wicket among the top wicket takers.

In reply, Napsa reached the target easily batsman Gautam and Brojen hitting an unbeaten with 62 runs and 29 runs respectively in 23.2 over for 2 wicket in the process. Gautam claimed the man of the match for his 62 runs knock.
