TRAU moves into the semi final; MCA T-20 Luwangpokpa Trophy

Tiddim Road Athletic Union registered 4 wicket win over Youth Welfare Club, Langthabal to moves into the semi final in the 1st MCA T-20 Luwangpokpa Trophy 2017 played at Luwangpokpa Cricket Stadium.

Prafulmani steadied Youth Welfare Club innings hitting 20 runs but theirs quota of over ran out, managing just 92 runs for 8 wicket from 20 overs. Prakashmani got 19 runs while Bingson remain unbeaten with 11 runs. Among Tiddim bowler Raju and Bobin claimed two wicket each while Thomas, Saroj and Priyojit got a wicket each.

In reply, Tiddim Road reached the target in 19.2 over from 6 wicket with Priyojit hitting 31 runs. Saroj remain not out with 18 runs.

In another quarter final match, Royal Eleven Youngsters also made it to the semi final beating Champ Khagempali by 7 wickets.

Batting first, Champ Khagempali put up a respectable total of 102 runs for 9 wicket from 20 over with Gulson topscoring with 22 runs while Imran Khan contributed 17 runs. Royal Eleven bolwer Rajesh Patel claimed a hattrick while Sanjay, Robertson and Devan pick up a wicket each.

Royal Eleven batsman had some lusty hitting with Guniram making 37 runs while Mintuchandra remain unbeaten with 32 runs to reached the target in 19.5 over for 3 wickets. Johnson chip in with 13 runs. Champ bowler Kenedy, Sultan and Rojit fetch a wicket each. There will be no matches tomorrow.

Veteran cricket: Kuki Sporting Club beat Chajing Cricket Club by 8 runs in the 14th Manipur Veteran Cricket Tournament 2016-17 played at Oriental College and Model Higher Secondary School ground. In a low scoring match, Chajing Cricket Club made 59 runs for 10 wicket from 21.2 over while Kuki Sporting Club reached the target in 21.2 over for 2 wickets.
