An Imphal Municipal Corporation Corporator Hijam Nutanchandra has warned against the collection of money and Aadhaar card by some persons promising vendor space over the Naga River in Imphal. AR apprehends wife of Nikki Sumi with Rs. 18.5 lakhs

The Assam Rifles yesterday apprehended Shelly N. Sumi wife of Nikki Sumi, Lt. Gen of NSCN (K) at Karom village area along the Imphal-Dimapur road. A source said at around 6:00 pm yesterday the 34 AR apprehended Shelly N. Sumi along with three other ladies and one boy from Karom village when they were travelling in a bus from Dimapur to Imphal. The AR recovered a sum of Rs. 18.5 lakhs of Indian currency. All of them were later handed over to Lamphel Police.
