Governor’s Trophy Tennis Tournament 2017

Rahul Pamei clinched U-14 boys title of the 16th Governor’s Trophy Tennis Tournament 2017 played at Officer’s Club, Lamphelpat.

In a hard fought final match, which extended to the deciding game Rahul Pamei faced stiff resistance from his opponent H.Bhushan saw the former taking the first set by 6-4 point.

However in the second set, H.Bhushan turn the table as Rahul Pamei make lots of unforced error to claimed it by 6-4 set, leveling it to 1-1 game old. In the deciding set, Rahul Pamei makes amend of his error to round it off with 6-2 set for the victory.

It can be mentioned that Meidingu Ningthem Chanu Sanareima has bagged U-10 girls title while N.Charmee in the U-14 girls category, H.Shankar in the U-10 boys category and in U-12 boys category, H.Bhushan also claimed the champion title.

Manipur additional chief secretary Shambhu Singh,IAS graced the closing function and distributed to the prizes to the players.
