Chief Minister receives a warm welcome in Ukhrul

Chief Minister Nonthombam Biren Singh was accorded a warm welcome by large number of people at his maiden visit to Ukhrul district today. The Chief Minister stopped at Yaingangpokpi, Litan, Ramva (Lambui), Nungshangkhong and Hamleikhong to accept the warm welcome accorded to him by the villagers, student and women bodies. Tangkhul Naga Long demands to roll back newly created districts

The Tangkhul Naga Long (TNL) has appealed the chief minister of Manipur to roll back the newly created seven districts of Manipur by the previous government last year. In memorandum submitted today by the TNL during chief minister Nongthombam Biren Singh at Ukhrul it was stated that the government of India and the NSCN has signed the framework agreement answering the prayers and yearning of the Naga People for the last to end the protracted war between the government of India and Naga where thousands of lives have been lost.Read More


RADHESHYAM INSPECTS GOVERNMENT SCHOOLS

Education Minister Th. Radheshyam yesterday inspected government schools of Kumbi in Bishnupur District. The Minister visited The Wangoo High School, Ethai Khunou Government High School, Kumbi Sandhong Government Primary School, Kumbi College, Kumbi & Saiton Government High School. He was accompanied by officials of the School Education Department, including that of Rashtriya Madhyamik Shiksha Abhiyan and Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan. Radheshyam interacted with the teachers in each of the schools and learnt their grievances.
