State government not in the position to create Lamka District: Biren

Cheif Minister Ningthombam Biren Singh is against the demand of formation of Lamka district by the JAC Against Anti-Tribal Bills. Biren Singh today addressing at the function of inauguration of a PMKVY Training Centre at Thangmeiband said that the state government is not in a position to fulfil the demand for Lamka district as raised by JAC Against Anti-Tribal Bills for the time being. He said that the State Government had told the JAC that the demand can be considered after the District Boundary Commission submits its report.

Monitoring committee to assess anti-corruption cell

A monitoring committee would be formed to assess the activities of the Anti Corruption Cell said Chief minister Nogthombam Biren Singh, today. The chief minister made the statement at Thangmeiband as he inaugurated a PMKVY training centre.
