Manipur Veteran Cricket

All rounder Binoy Singh three wicket haul and 40 runs knock helped Cyclone Thangmeiband beat Champ Khagempali by 28 runs in the 14th Manipur Veteran Cricket Tournament 2016-17 played at Luwangpokpa Cricket Stadium.
Winning the toss, Cyclone Thangmeiband took to the crease with Binoy Singh hitting 40 runs while Arun chip in with 22 runs and Brojen Singh got 12 runs to post 116 runs for 8 wicket from 30 overs. Champ bowler Jodiba and Gopal Singh claimed a hattrick each giving away 12 runs and 20 runs respectively while Ratan Singh and Sanjoy fetch a wicket each.
Chasing the target, Champ batsman crumbled under tight spell from Cyclone bowler to restrict the former to 88 runs for 10 wickets from 25 overs. Micheal topscored with 17 runs while Tomthang got 13 runs and Jodiba chip in with 10 runs.
Cyclone bowler Binoy Singh and Robindro Singh were the most impressive player with both claiming theirs hattrick giving away 16 runs and 15 runs respectively. Chaobi Singh and Surjit bagged 2 wicket each for the victory. Cyclone all rounder Binoy Singh claimed the man of the match for his 3 wicket haul and 40 runs in the match.
In tomorrow match, Youth Welfare Club, Langthabal will take on Napsa Kha Imphal.
