KNF (P) abducts Driver & helper for a ransom of Rs. 2, 00, 000

A driver and his helper of an Imphal bound truck ferrying tiles plates from Dimapur were abducted at an area in between Keithelmanbi and Sapormeina of Kangpokpi district this morning. The truck bore the registration number AS-01- DC- 0723. They were abducted by members of KNF (P) in connection with an extortion demand for Rs. 2, 00, 000, said a source. However, they were set free in the afternoon just after about one hour after the abduction. It was uncertain how and why the drivers were released.

Oil tanker drivers resume service

Petroleum tanker drivers has resumed oil distribution from the depot to various retailers, but not yet decided when to resume ferrying in of fuel from outside the state.
