MUSA Major Khul sails into the semi final beating VSAI(A) Thangmeiband by 3-0 goals in the 1st Sangai Trophy Veteran Football Tournament 2017 played at Main Stadium Khuman Lampak.
The soggy outfield caused by the rain hit hard the players as they failed to bring up theirs cordination but MUSA player T.Siehlam reads the ground well as he shot home the opening goal in the 13 minute for the lead in the 30 minute of first half play.
The VSAI(A) player who had hard time finding their foothold in the match, find themselves in bigger trouble as MUSA struck two consequetive blow with Ch.Ingobi scoring the second goal in the 55 minute and Cheitei delivers the third goal in 58 minute to fashioned theirs way to the semi final.
In another match, FC Imphal beat NCDA Khonghampat by a solitary goal to moves into the semi final as well.
The first half failed to enlighten the crowd as well the bench without a goal. However in resumption of the second half, FC Imphal got the break when Th.Krishna anticipating a goaline cross from Dilip Singh, slammed home the opening goal in the 35 minute for the victory.
