UTLA Cadres Apprehended

Police apprehended two cadres of proscribed UTLA at Jiribam yesterday, who were said to have actively involved in arms and drug smuggling.
A team of CDO JBM led by SI. Raju  under the supervision of Th. Vikramjit Singh, MPS, S.P. Jiribam raided a hotel at Jiribam Bazar and arrested the two active cadres of UTLA who were identified as Lunkhopao Haokilp@Papao(37) s/o Ngulkhodou Haokip of Churchandpurand P.Minthang Singson s/o Hangkhohen Singson of Tamenglong presently residing at Churchandpur. Three mobile phones and two I cards were seized from them.
On their revealation the police team arrested one Tingkhohoi Haokip@Kangnu(45) w/o (l) John Haokip of Mission Compound, Jiribam and seized one moblie phone and one packet of heroin powder weighing 15 gms.
According to preliminary investigation of the police it was revealed that they were actively involved in smuggling of drugs and heroin powder from Myanmar to Manipur.
Further, Papao and Minthang are active cadres of the UG group UTLA working under the command of one Keikhohao @Amosh@Haopu.
They  along with Kaikhohao@Amosh are actively involved in abduction for ransom of staffs of Coastal Project from Oinamlong smuggling of arms and ammunitions from Myanmar to Manipur, says police.
A case has been registered.
