It is just like entering military zone when the students see armoured vehicles and army personnel roam around bearing weapons inside the university campus, say students of the university.
Adressing the reporters president of MUSU, Buchi Mayanglambam alleged that the security personnel manning the main gate of the university check all students when they enter the campus, however the armed forces enter and exit the campus freely.

Buchi vowed to press for its shifting. He also appealed to CSOs, student unions and people living in and around the university to extend all possible support in their demand.
The MUSU president also expressed dissatisfaction over negligence by the new vice chancellor in the academic welfare activities and lacks punctuality. He is on leave in most times. “We will lock the VC’s office if he is not present in the office “, added the student leader.
