EDUCATION MINISTER INAUGURATES BISHNULAL HIGH SCHOOL OF KANGPOKPI DISTRICT

Education Minister Shri Th. Radheshyam Singh inaugurated the Bishnulal High School of Kangpokpi District today. In addition to the existing infrastructures, the high school has eight (8) more new rooms, which includes a computer room and a library. The school was constructed under the Rashtriya Madhyamik Shiksha Abhiyan (RMSA) 2015-16.

The Minister while speaking as chief guest said the government schools in the state for best functioning needs the support of not only teachers and students but also of the parents, guardians and local people. Expressing his concern, he said, it is discouraging that today school properties are being rob and vandalised during agitation and in many of the unfortunate incidents.

He further stated that school is a sacred place like any places of worshipping where one goes to offer their gratitude to God. He explained school is where the children comes to get education, to be cultured and to be able to become a better human on whose shoulder lies the future. Government schools of the state though lack in certain infrastructure, he said, true leaders are those who bring the best out of the available resources.

Director Education (S) Shri Th. Kirankumar said the essentiality of classroom being fulfilled, the task now lies on the shoulders of the teachers to accept and take the school on the right direction to fulfill every child’s right to education.

Deputy Secretary Education (S) & Additional State Project Director RMSA, Manipur L. Nandakumar Singh said, as the requirement for extra classrooms in the school has been fulfilled the teachers of the school needs to find out drop-out children in and around the locality of the school. It is very necessary that those children be brought back to schools, get them back their normal life and provide them a secure future, he added.

ZEO Ngahchong Kipgen, Headmaster Khagra Prasad Prasai, teachers, students and parents participated at the inauguration function.
