21st Sub-Junior Boys Inter District Football League

Imphal West District Football Association lifted the champion title of the 21st Sub-Junior Boys Inter District Football League 2017 played at Artificial Turf, Khuman Lampak.
The final match saw Imphal West beat DSA Bishnupur had an equal fight with 2-2 goals in the first half. However Imphal West tightens theirs grip to wear out Bishnupur by a comfortable margin of 6-2 goals for the title.
DSA Bishnupur led the fight with M.Jetlee scoring the opening goal in the 12 minute. However in the very next minute, Imphal West came up with the equaliser trough E.Santoshkumar in the 13 minute to level 1-1 goals. Putting up more pressure to its opponent, Imphal West consolidates in the 22 minute with E.Santoshkumar ruffling the net.
DSA Bishnupur increased the pace and got rewarded when N.Abungton got the better of Imphal West keeper to fetch the equaliser in the 31 minute to make it 2-2 goals in the half time. In resumption of the second half, Imphal West completely rules the turf with H.Tomba Singh hammering in the third goal in the 60 minute and teammates Monex Konthoujam followed suit to struck two goals in the 63 and 66 minute for 5-2 goals lead.
The injury time saw E.Santoshkumar fetching his hattrick off a penalty in the 80 plus 3 minute for the victory. Bishnupur player Th.Bonish and Imphal West player E.Santoshkumar got a yellow card for fouls.
First Division: SAI RC got the better of Thangmeiband Athletic Union by 4-2 goals in the 24th L.Sangita Devi Memorial First Division Football League 2017 played at SKYC ground, Sekmai.
Tangya Ragui and Th.Rojen Singh struck two goals each for SAI RC while Kanguilal and A.Lanchenba fetch a goal each for Thangmeiband team. In another match, SCK Kodompokpi hold on YWC Langthabal by 1-1 goals to share a point each. Ng.Pacha opened the account for YWC Langthabal while Th.Ranjoy fetch the equaliser for Kodompokpi team.
