SENDRA TOURIST RESORT DEDICATED TO THE PEOPLE

Eminent Thinker, Author, India Foundation Director and BJP National General Secretary Shri Ram Madhav inaugurated Tourist Resort at Sendra Hillock in the presence of Chief Minister Shri N. Biren Singh and many other dignitaries today.

Shri N. Biren Singh, Shri Ram Madhav and Works and Information and Public Relations Minister Shri Th. Biswajit graced the auspicious occasion as chief guest, special guest and president respectively.

Minister Shri V. Hangkhanlian, Chief Whip and Advisor to CM (Economic Affairs and Human Resource) Shri P. Saratchandra, Thanga AC MLA and PDA Chairman Shri T. Robindro, Manipur Pollution Control Board chairman L Radhakishore,Parliamentary Secretaries Shri Awangbow Newmai, Shri K Robindro and Dr. S. Ranjan, S. Subhaschandra, Kumbi MLA Shri S. Bira and Manipur Infrastructure Development Agency (MIDA) Vice-Chairman Shri M Asnikumar also attended the function as presidium members.

The Resort has been constructed at an estimated cost of Rs 553.72 lakhs with the funds from Union Tourism Ministry. Components of the project are Reception cum Administrative Block, Cottages, Security cum Drivers’ Room, Compound Fencing with Gate, Restaurant, Approach Road and Pathways.

Addressing the gathering, Shri N. Biren said that a Grievance Cell will be opened at CM’s Secretariat soon. Call executives would attend the calls of people from 10am to 6pm daily.

Stating that the new Government had achieved almost all the tasks listed in its 100 days programme, the Chief Minister said that the Government is committed to uplifting the poorest of the poor section of the society. He urged the people to assess the works of the Government achieved in 100 days and give suggestions.

Speaking on the occasion, Shri Ram Madhav mentioned about the tourism potentials of the State.
Stating that the new Government had achieved a lot in 100 days, Shri Ram Madhav said that it is however still have to work hard towards making Manipur a peaceful, prosperous and united State.
