Lilong Police yesterday arrested a man and a woman along with N-10 tablets and seized also seized contraband drug powder with the help of ANJUMAN Volunteers. Frog in Kaziranga tea packet

A resident of Mantripukhri found a dry frong inside the packet of Kaziranga Gold which he bought from a local grocery shop. Talking to the reporters at Manipur Press Club Jonathan Inka who bought the tea packet said he was very surprised to find the frog inside the tea packet of a popular company. He drew the attention of the government to find out if the item was packed either in Assam or  Manipur, under its food safety measures and take up necessary action.

Police picks up 16 in ccpur

With the motive to observe the Independence day without interruption police has started taking up security measures in the state Early this morning police took up cordon and search operation near Khuga Tampaak area of Churachandpur from 4 am to 6 am. Teams under command of add SP, L. Khongsai led the search. Altogether about 300 people were verified out of which 16 were taken to Churchandpur Police station for further verification as they couldn’t produce any document to prove their identity.

Police has picked up yet another five home guard personnel who were indulging in the relay hunger strike that began on July 20, while others are staging sit-in at different places demanding  wages as par with police personnel.
