In the continous police move to defend from any untoward incident in the coming Independence day celebration cordon and search operation was conducted at Guru Aribam Leikai this morning.
Nine persons including six women were picked up by the police for further verfication after 300 men and 69 women were verified at the spot.
The operation wad conducted under the supervision of Addl.SP (ops) IE- M.Kumarjit,
Team led by DSP (OPS) RK.Saklemba, DSP (CDO) Deben, and Women police SI Memtu.
Sniffer dog was used in the pokice operation.
