Students committee cautions strict actions pressing to celebrate teacher’s day on October 5

Imphal, September 3: The Joint Students’ Coordination committee formed by AMSU, MSF, KSA and SUK has urged the people of Manipur and the educational Institutions to celebrate Teachers Day on October 5 instead of celebrating on September 5.

The student committee has warned that strict actions will be taken if request is not followed.

In a press statement released today by the students’ committee stated that 5th of October is World’s Teachers’ Day UNESCO, an agency under United Nation took initiative in observing International Teachers’ Day since 1994.

The statement signed by Nongthombam Muktangamba Mangang, further asked all not to spend unnecessarily and fool around at the event.

Teachers, students and parents are asked not to mislead the sacred day.
