Sub-Junior Boys National Football Championship

Imphal, September 3: Assam beat Arunachal Pradesh by a solitary goal in the Sub-Junior Boys National Football Championship 2017-18 (NE Qualification Round) played at Artificial Turf, Khuman Lampak, Imphal. Dinar Narzary scored the winning goal in 88 minute from a penalty. Arunachal Pradesh player Tarh Takai was sent off with red from double caution in the 87 minute.

Imphal West League:

Tennyson Singh guided his team KSYC Hiyangthang with a hattrick goal to beat Juvenile Club, Tera Sapam Leirak by 3-2 goals in the 1st Sh.Mani Sharma Memorial Third Division Football League 2017 played at Loitang Khunou, Imphal West.

KSYC team wrecked havoc early in the match with Tennyson Singh making connection for the opening goal in the 3 minute of play. Later he repeated his feat adding two quick goals in the 35 and 38 minute to take the game to theirs stride in the first half play.

However in resumption of the match, Juvenile Club tried to lift theirs game and got rewarded when L.Foren cracked the opening goal in the 50 minute. Boosted by the goal, Juvenile Club increased theirs tempo and it was W.Sanjit Singh who consolidates in the 63 minute but that turned out to be theirs last goal and failed to save the match.

In the second match, YUC Irom Meijrao beat Sun Club, Mongsangei by 2-1 goals. Both team rubbed shoulders but it was YUC team who cracked the deadlock with O.Sanathoi Singh making the opening goal in 38 minute and later struck another goal in the 42 minute for the lead. However Sun Club pull back one goal through A.Sanatomba in the 56 minute.

Imphal East League:

UDO Heingang thrashed IYDO Ningthoumanai by 3-2 goals in the Ng.Boboy Memorial Second Division Football League 2017 played at ABA Ground, Khetrigao. For UDO team, Md.Farooq(4th) Md.Mubeen(13th) and Kh.Holendro(46th) scored a goal each. The two goals for IYDO was scored by Hormi in the 9 and 35 minute.
