Manipur Police hectic intercepting immigrants

Imphal, September 11: State police force remained busy to restrict immigration in the state in connection with the Rohingyas in the neighboring Myanmar.

District Police Jiribam today pushed back 47 labourers including one driver of one Tribeni company of North  Frontier railways who came to work site at Khongsang as the most of the labourers didn’t possess proper identification documents after due verification.

Most of the labourers are from Dhubri district of Assam.

The foreigners check post has been kept alert to check any entry of illegal migrants especially, the Rohingyas, says sources.

Moreh police has also remained alert at the Indo-Myanmar border to prevent entry of any refugees from Myanmar side, said a source.
