JAC demands clue to the death of Prabish at Delhi

Imphal, September 16: Joint action committee against the brutal killing of Prabish Chanam, who was found dead on September 8 at Noida has urged the chief minister Nonthombam Biren Singh to take up steps find the clue to his death.

Prabish is from Uripok Achom Leikai son of Chanam Jugindro Singh. He travelled from Hydrabad and reached Delhi on September 7 to witness a music concert on 8. Since the concert day he was found missing. His brother complained the police for Pravesh missing. However the police on September 13 told him that his brother’s body was cremated as no one claimed for the dead body.

The JAC convenor A. Rupavan condemning the police said it cannot produce the press publication in connection to the dead of Prabish as told by the police. “The death of the boy is supicious and have asked the help of our chief minister by submitting a memorandum.”

The memorandum which prayed for initiation of an enquiry in relation to the suspicious death of Prabish mentioned that Prabish Chanam was studying Engineering at Haryana. He went to Chennai to take migration certificate for passing his XII standard examination.

After reaching Delhi, he along with one Ashok who was staying in Delhi and some other Manipuri friends went to grater Noida on September 8, 2017 to see the said Rock Concert. From the place where the concert was going on, he was found missing under mysterious circumstances. His father received the said news of his missing on 9-9-2011, but due to an accident occurred on the way to Moreh, his father could not go to Delhi to search him as he was injured and his mother was seriously injured and she was admitted at RIMS Hospital.

Rabikanta    Chanam, the elder brother of Prabish who is presently staying at Delhi went to acknowledge park Police Station of Greater Noida under Goutam Budha Nagar District, Uttar Pradesh to lodge a missing report. Accordingly a missing report was lodged on 9-9- 2017 at the said police station. As the said police station did not taken up prompt action, he further made a complaint at the North East Cell, New Delhi on 11-9-2017 regarding the missing of his brother.

The police personnel  of the knowledge park Police Station cremated the body of Prabish Chanam at around 5:00 p.m. of 13-9-2017 as unclaimed death body without giving any information to his family. It is highly suspicious that he might have been killed by a gang who are involving in a big racket who deals in selling of human organs. There is every possibility that if the death body is handed over to the family of Prabish, it will certainly come to light that his body organs have already been removed before he was killed. Therefore, his body might have been disposed before it was   handed   over to his family.

It is also highly suspicious that Shri Ashok from Singjamei might have involved in the said conspiracy to kill him as the money bag/wallet and mobile phone was recovered from him by saying that the said items was handed over to him at the place of concert by Prabish to him. It is also quite questionable as to why the said money bag and mobile phone was not handed over to Rabikanta the elder brother of Prabish by the said Ashok.

It is also learnt that he was admitted at Bhim Rao Ambedkar Hospital due to an injury at around 10:30 p.m. on 8-9-2017 and it is not known whether he was discharged from the said hospital after giving first aid. On the next day, it is reported that an injured person was found lying at section-30 market and the said person was admitted at the Bhim Rao Ambedkar Hospital and later on the said person was found to be Prabish and he succumbed to his injury and declared death by the said hospital.
