Imphal, September 17: Heavy rain has caused landslide near Lokchao along the Indo-Myanmar road which cuts off connectivity between Imphal and Moreh. An Assam Rifles team and the police reached the landslide location. They were trying to reconnect the road using JCB. However it was uncertain how long will it take to recover the connectivity. Large numbers of vehicles remained stranded on both sides of the landslide area.

Imphal, September 17: Three militants including a woman died in a clash between Thadou UTLA and Poukai UTLA at Muktakhal village, Jiribam. The firing incident between the cadres of the UTLA factions took place at around 12: 30 this morning when a group of Poukai faction attacked the Thadou camp at Turbung. The deceased militants were identified as Ngamboi (22) male, Mangmimlen (20) male and Hatsei (25) female of Thadou faction, said a source.
