Imphal, September 17: As instructed by the chief minister Nongthombam Biren Singh state police force has started using boats along the Jiri Mukh to prevent Rohingya refugees entering the state while the state forces and Assam Rifles remained busy for the same.
Biren Singh on his facebook page posted the recent development yesterday.
Following the fleeing of Rohingyas from Myanmar due to the backlash against them state police and Assam Rifles Manipur remained red alert along the Manipur side which share around 364 km of porous borders with Myanmar.
Security has been alert at the Jiribam areas where the Rohingyas would could sneak in, following the communal issue in Myanmar.
