Residents’ verification at Moreh for Rohingyas presence

Imphal, September 20: A team of police under the supervision of superintendent of police Tengnoupal district Dr. S Ibomcha, along with SDPO, OC Moreh have conducted house to house verification including the rented houses from 6 am to 8 am at Muslim Basti, Moreh Ward No. 5 to check the presence of illegal immigrants.

Police verifying residents at Moreh

Verification was done by using electoral Roll and checked their Aadhaar cards, Voter IDs.

No person has been picked up by the police.

Police and Assam Rifles have been busy at the border town Moreh and Jiribam area ever since the issue of backlash of the Rohingyas from Myanmar came up.
