CNPO APPEALS TO SEEK PERMISSION FROM THEM FOR PROTEST

Imphal, September 22: Chandel Naga People’s organisation (CNPO) today appealed to obtain its permission before taking up any form of protest in Chandel district.

In a press statement issued today, the CNPO warned for critical consequences if the organisation is undermined or superseded.

The president of the organisation, LV  Robert in the statement said, this statement  is released in order to maintain cordial relationship, peace and tranquility in all walks of life.

The CNPO comprises of nine Naga tribes which is formed under the Motto, “Unity, Justice, Peace and Progress” renders its selfless services for the welfare of the people, execute its duties and responsibilities in the interest of the people and protect our land and people as enshrine in the construction, said the president.

Therefore, we appeal to all sub-ordinate units of CNPo, Governenmt extablishments NGOs etc. to obtain an official prior permission from the office of the CNPO for organising any form of protests such as rally, sit-in-protest, dharna, bandh, blockade, closure of offices etc. We will be very critical if the office of CNPO is either undermined or superseded,  added the president of CNPO.
