Imphal, October13: 12 Assam Rifles of 26 Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of IGAR (South) yesterday apprehended one Kangleipak Communist Party (KCP Noyon) cadre at Permanent Vehicle Check Post, Khudengthabi in Tengnoupal district.
He was identufied as Damu (38 years), son of Late Madhumangol of Uripok, Imphal.
In a press statement released by the Assam Rifles said at round 4 pm Damu was travelling in a Maruti Van from Moreh to Imphal and was moving suspiciously and was questioned at PVCP, Khudengthabi.
Damu, thereafter was detained and on questioning he confessed that he is an active cadres of KCP (Noyon).
Damu was later handed over to Police Station, Moreh for further legal action, said the press statement.
