Road mishap kills 1; 4 critical

Imphal, October 15: A pastor from Tamei died in a road accident along Impha-Jiribam road, while four were critically injured.

The road accident took place early this morning at around 12:30 and the pastor at the spot. It occured in between Awangkhul and Tamlok Lamkhai along NH-37 when a passenger vehicle went off the road and fell in a deep gorge measuring about 20 metres from the road.

The Passenger Winger was coming from Jiribam side bound for Imphal.

The four critically injured persons were evacuated at Noney PHC  for first aid and further referred to hospitals in Imphal.

Altogether 13 persons were on board in the vehicle that bore MNO5-2338.
