Matron suspended

Imphal, November 7: A primary school matron was suspended today for working in two schools using different names by an order issued today by the education department.

The order issued by director of education (S), Th. Kirankumar stated that Minaranjan Begum who was working as matron at Oinam Primary Madrassa School was fund simultaneously working in the name of Hamida Begum at Thiyam Konjil high school.

By exercising the powers conferred by sub-rule (I) of Rule 10 of the Central Civil Services (Classification, Control and Appeal) Rules, 1965, the education department placed Minarjan Begum under suspension with immediate effect.

It was further ordered that during the period that this order shall remain in force the headquarters of the Matron, should be Wangoi and she shall not leave the headquarters without obtaining the previous permission of the director.
