Truck fells into Barak river

Pothashang News Service Imphal, November 13: A goods carrier truck fell down to the Barak River when the bailey bridge at Nung Dolan area along the Imphal-Jiribam road of National highway 37 collapsed while the truck was travelling. The truck bore registration number ML 04-B 1122. The incident took place near Sibilong milestone 151.  The loaded truck was heading towards Imphal. With the collapse of the bridge the Imphal-Jiribam has been cut off.


Last rites of WW2 Japanese soldiers in Imphal

Pothashang News Service Imphal, Nov 13: The last rites of three Japanese soldiers who were killed in the World War 2 were performed at Koirengei yesterday after their their skeleton remains were recovered from Shangshak Village of Kamjong District. Blast kills 2 & injures 6 AR Jawans

Pothashang News Service Imphal, November 13: An IED blast in Chandel district has killed two Assam Rifles jawans of 18 AR and injured six others this Morning. The blast took place at around 6: 30 while a team of 18 AR jawans were taking up physical training exercise on road near Mahamani village church of Chandel. The blast has killed Indra Singh and Sohan Lal at the spot. The six injured  Jawand were identified as S.Sarkar , N.
