WY WORTH RS 5.55 LAKH RECOVERED

Imphal, November 16: As a result to the extensive efforts to curb the drug menace in the state, 12 Assam Rifles of 26 Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of IGAR (South) recovered WY tablets quantity 1110 in numbers worth Rs 5.55 lakh approximately.

On Monday based on specific information one blue coloured Eeco van travelling from Moreh to Imphal was stopped for checking at PVCP, Khudengthabi, Tengnoupal District. During checking of the vehicle and individual, 1110 WY tablets were recovered hidden inside his inner wear, said a statement by AR.

Recovered items along with the apprehended person were later handed over to Moreh Police Station.
