NATION’S PEACEFULL EXISTENCE IS ONE OF THE BIGGEST CONTRIBUTIONS OF THE BSF: RADHESHYAM

Imphal, December 1 2017 (DIPR): Congratulating the Border Security Force (BSF) on its 53rd Raising Day, Education, Labour and Employment Minister, Shri Thokchom Radheshyam Singh said that the nation’s peaceful existence is one of the biggest contributions of the BSF.

Since its inception, the Minister said that the BSF has been playing a crucial role of protecting the country tirelessly. Safeguarding the vast and diverse borders of the nation courageously and sacrificing their life for the sake of the nation and people has always been at the fore of the BSF, he added.

With a sense of pride for their undying spirit and to have been part of the auspicious occasion of Raising Day, he wished all the Jawans posted at the borders of the country for success and well-being.

DIG, CI (Ops) Manipur and Nagaland Angom Shamoo said that the opening of BSF Mela with support from the four battalions, during the celebration of the Raising Day has made the event more magnificent. The Mela includes indigenous food stalls of different taste, games and entertainment.

The occasion was attended by the Commandants of different Battalions, families and jawans. The Raising Day was held at BSF Campus Koirengei.
