Imphal, November 21, 2017: A 3-day classical solo dance cum music festival kicked off today at the open air auditorium of Government Dance College, Palace Gate, Imphal.
Commissioner, art and culture M. Lakshmikumar Singh, director art and culture Dr, K. Sushila, retired IAS officer R.K Niami and retired principal of the college Ranjit Adhikarimayum were present as chief guest, president and guests of honour respectively.
The festival was launched with the performances by L. Bandana Devi of Government Dance College, Y. Bhumeswor Singh and L. Joyrita of Lindiya Folk Dance and Classical Academy.
R.K Nimai said the dance performers in the state become boring to the audience as they lack practices, which are seen clearly during the Bhagyachandra dance festival.
