AMFA PENALISES 7 REFEREES

Imphal, December 27, 2017: The All Manipur Football Association (AMFA) has penalised seven referees, including a match commissioner, for officiating a football tournament without official permission of the football association.

Six of the officials were suspended with immediate effect for two years along with a fine of Rs. 1, 000. They K. Moses Sareo, a match commissioner-cum-referee assessor, referees Y. Ingobi Singh, A. Boren Singh, K. Ajitkumar Meitei, T. Premjit Singh belonging to Imphal East District FA and K. Brojen Singh of DSA Kakching.

Santosh Singh of DFA Thoubal has been suspended for three months along with a fine of Rs 1,000.

The fines imposed on the seven officials are to be paid on or before January 31.

The seven officials had officiated the recently concluded Tangkhul Naga France Labour Football Centenary 2017 at Ukhrul without the official permission of the football association.
