Imphal, January 14: Three drug peddlers were arrested along with World is Yours’ tablets (WY) and Heroin No. 4 on Friday from different places of which two were residents of Kakching and another a resident of Thoubal.
The persons arrested were Md. Asagar Khan, 34 son of Md. Abdul Kalam of Sora Maning Leikai, Kakching, Md. Wasim Khan, 21, son of (L) Md. Abdul Haque of Sora Karanchi Awang Leikai, Kakching and Makakmayum Hassan, 26 son of M.K. Kasim of Lilong Haoreibi Awang Leikai, Thoubal.
Md. Abdul Kalam was arrested along with 110 WY (Amphetamine) tablets, while Md. Wasim Khan was arrested along with 30 grams of Heroin No. 4. Both were arrested from their residences after the Kakching district police teams raided their houses. A case has been registered at Kakching police station.
Makakmayum Hassan was apprehended from Samurou Bazar near Machu Cinema hall. Forty caps containing 520 grams of Heroin No. 4 and 30 packets containing 6,000 WY (Amphetamine) tablets that would worth Rs. 13, 40,000 were seized from his possession. A case has been registered at NAB police station.
