EDUCATION SHOULD BE “DISTURBANCE FREE ZONE”: MINISTER TH. RADHESHYAM

(DIPR): Education Minister Shri Thokchom Radheshyam today called upon different sections of the society to make education, a disturbance free zone so that the academic timetable of the students is completed without any hindrances. He ardently called for a peaceful environment for the students to prosper in their academic performance.

A press meet was held today in the Office Chamber of the Minister in connection with reports of ban imposed on the catholic missionary schools in Manipur. The Minister stated that there are over Seventy Catholic Schools imparting education to many children of the State from Nursery to higher education including three colleges.

Minister Th Radheshyam expressed that the Government is giving utmost priority to the education sector with a firm belief that quality education can solve all the problems which is holding back development process in the State.

The Minister also instructed all the private schools and colleges of the State to be fair during admission process following the rules and guidelines laid down by the Department of Education.

Minister Th Radheshyam gave assurance to all the parents and drivers’ Association that the Government will extend full cooperation and assistance whenever the need arises.

The meeting was attended by Commissioner, Education Shri Vineet Joshi, Director Education (S) Shri Th. Kiran Kumar and concern officials of the department.
