Cycle rally flagged off

Imphal, February 8, 2018 (DIPR): CAF & PD Minister Karam Shyam expressed happiness that cyclist Philem Rohan from Moirang would contribute something to the development of Manipur by spreading messages of a healthy, clean life and environment. This was stated by the Minister during a cycle rally held today from Kangla to Moirang.

Rohan started his cycle journey from the 8th of January of this year from India Gate, New Delhi on the theme “Pollution Free India” covering a total distance of 2800 km and reached Manipur just yesterday.

Appreciating Rohan on his remarkable feat and indomitable courage, Minister Karam Shyam said, “In these days when the youths  of the society has fallen victims to corruption and drugs, he plays a great contributor in spreading message of promoting good health, green environment free of pollution and communal harmony.”

Interacting with the media team, he mentioned the warm reception of Rohan at Bihar by politician Pappu Yadav as a symbol of national integration.

Members of the Green Revolution Cyclist, Manipur took part in the cycle rally.
