‘Poppy’ plant worth over Rs. 2 crore destroyed

Pothashang News Service : Imphal, February 12, 2018: Poppy plantations at 39 acres along the hill rages of Nungtak/Molpi Village, Gomi Village and Bongmol Village were destroyed today. The destruction of the Poppy plants was conducted by a team of Tengnoupal police, NAB, 8 Manipur Rifles, 18 Assam Rifles and Tengnoupal district administration in continuation of destruction of poppy plants in the state. The destroyed poppy plants would worth Rs. 2 crores 34 lakh.
