Pothashang News Service : Imphal, February 23, 2018: Gyan Garima Manad Alankaran, 2017 has been awarded to E.Sonamani Singh, noted litterateur of Manipur.
Sonamani has authored more than 40 books is a doyen of the Manipur Literary and Socio-cultural fraternity. He has enriched Manipuri language with his adept multi-faceted creations through novels, short stories, poetry, translation and Khan Kavyas.
The award will be formally handed over by chief minister Nongthombam Biren Singh on February 26 at 4 pm at Maharaj Chandrakirti auditorium, palace compound, Imphal.
